Resources for Parents with Children Ages 9+

Early Education Services
EES is the Parent Child Center for the Southeastern region of Vermont. EES programs include: Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms (Brattleboro and Westminster), Early Head Start Home Visitors, Welcome Baby, playgroups, parent education and support groups, information and referral, and the Fatherhood Program.

Vermont 2-1-1/Help Me Grow
2-1-1 is a great way to get information on resources and can be dialed from anywhere in Vermont. Help Me Grow, a program of 2-1-1, specifically helps with questions about children’s behavior and development.

Vermont Agency of Human Services
Multiple departments (including the Health Dept. and Dept. for Children and Families) that have programs for families with young children.

Winston Prouty Center for Child and Family Development

Offers many programs for families with young children including: Early Learning Center, Children’s Integrated Services, Family Supportive Housing Program, parent education classes/support groups, and child care assistance and referral.
