Behavior Support Specialist- $27.48 – 29.72/hour
We are seeking an individual to support our educational programming as a Behavior Support Specialist. Reporting to the Mental Health/Disability Coordinator, this person will perform on-going observations and consultation to support classrooms in the implementation of the Pyramid Model, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Child guidance, and Trauma-Informed Practices (TIP). They will also support staff professional development in the social/emotional domain, facilitating and/or coordinating trainings as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS in Early Childhood or related field. Five (5) years’ experience in an early childhood center-based program. Experience working with challenging behaviors, tracking and analyzing data, positive behavior support and working with high-risk populations. Must pass background check and pre-employment physical.
Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS or Master’s degree in Early Childhood/Child Development or related field with thirty (30) ECE credits.
